RV Road Trip Planning for Beginners

An RV Road Trip can be a thrill. If you are a beginner, there are a few things with regards to the planning that can help make your first time a little smoother so you can enjoy it as much as possible.

    • If you don’t have an RV, consider whether you should purchase or rent one. The answer may depend on the budget involved and how much time you plan on being on the road. If you decide to rent, be sure to request enough rental time, including any potential delays.
    • It is advised to have a route planned. RV travel is often a lot slower than ordinary road trips. As a result, you may need to schedule additional overnight stays or stops closer together in terms of mileage.

  • Make sure you have plenty of time to set up camp before it gets dark. It takes some time to level the RV, set up the water and shower, plus the electricity and other elements. Also, be sure to visit the dump station either when you arrive or before you set out again.
